Carlie graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science in 2004 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion at Curtin University in 2008. She is currently enrolled in her PhD in Public Health at Curtin. She previously worked for the Western Australian Institute of Sport, coordinating an athlete talent identification program. She is currently project officer for the Reducing Overweight and Obesity in Mothers with Young Children research project at CBRCC.
